The Recreation Branch is comprised of professionals and students who work in the local delivery of parks, recreation and leisure service or are pursuing an education in the profession. Members represent diversified park and recreation interests in government, private agencies and commercial organizations.

  • Aquatic Section members under the Recreation Branch are professionals who are educated and trained with specialized emphasis in the field of aquatics.  These may include Aquatic Facility Managers, Water Safety Instructors, Lifeguards/Lifeguard Instructors and Head Lifeguards.

  • One of the most popular aspects of the Aquatic Branch is the annual aquatic workshops. The workshop is held in Omaha at the Brownell Talbot School during the first week in April.  This one day event has brought aquatic professionals from Nebraska and Iowa.  We have brought nationally recognized experts to speak on various topics ranging from pool management to lifeguard training issues.  This workshop is the perfect opportunity to network, exchange ideas, and establish connections with other aquatic professionals throughout Nebraska and Iowa.

The Park Branch is comprised of professionals in park and natural resources who advance the art of planning, maintaining, interpreting and administering the resources of natural, historic and cultural value.
